A drive around the Lakes District was set for today but it was raining when we got up and by midday had still only reached 12 degrees.
We stopped at an underground cave to see what was there but decided against going through as the tour was an hour and a half long and it would have put us behind schedule.
We did stop at The World of Beartrix Potter (no, not Harry’s mum but the woman who is responsible for Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and many more childrens illustrated books). Continued on down some damp, winding, narrow roads which would have been great fun in a rally car and no oncoming traffic.
